I Broke Everything . . . . .
Welcome to the new page. Pardon the dust and debris. I am in the process of . . . . fixing everything.
I bet you’re wondering what happened. Well, that’s simple. I decided that I wanted to be more . . . . professional. You know, have my own website domain, a fancy custom e-mail address, all the hosting I could need to put up as many audio files as I’d like. So I did that. And I had a fairly (barely) serviceable website over at https://www.suchavoice.com/pfmccaffrey/. So I figured I would just import all of that stuff over, right?
Nice Try Charlie Brown
It turns out, I don’t really know how WordPress works. So while these are both WordPress sites, they have . . . . differences. And I was not prepared to find, fix, and work around all of the differences when I started this process. And the day is winding down, and I haven’t written my weekly summary yet. I’m going to keep working on the new website, until it doesn’t look like it was thrown together by a techno-toddler. But the Weekly Summary Blog Post is going to be a day late. I am going to get a quick New Years Cheer in though.
Happy New Year!
It’s January 1st, 2021. A new year, new beginnings, new website. I don’t have a lot of resolutions for this year, at least nothing much beyond what I already have in my Brand Heart. I am working on presenting myself more professionally, and building my portfolio, connections, and brand.
In non-Voice Land, I am stretching for 15+ minutes every day. Running 3-4 times a week. And I’m looking forward to being able to travel again. One of my hobbies is Historical Sword Fighting. I usually travel around the United States to visit other HEMA clubs for events, classes, or competition, and obviously that hasn’t happened in 2020. I’m looking forward to being able to do that again.
I’m going to leave it there, because otherwise I’ll just keep rambling, and I still need to fix things. I just hope I don’t break everything more.
Thanks for reading. I hope you’re having a wonderful start to 2021. And until tomorrow, when I actually post my weekly summary, I am Patrick of PFMcCaffreyVoices – It’s Your Story, My Voice.
